Children

Dr. Jolley enjoys treating children in his practice. He has received extensive training in restoring children's teeth and managing children in the dental setting.

Consider tooth-colored, fluoride-rich fillings to prevent tooth decay around the filling for your child's teeth. These composite resin/glass ionomer fillings look like there is no filling and they release fluoride into the tooth like a time-release capsule.

Not every child can easily sit through a dental visit. Oral sedation can help your child relax and tolerate long dental appointments. Rather than give your child a bad experience at the dentist office in his or her young life, oral sedation can allow the dentist to provide your child with the dentistry he or she needs without the trauma.

Many children practice bad oral habits, such as thumb sucking, mouth breathing, or positioning their tongue poorly when swallowing. These habits lead to dental crowding and poor jaw development. Addressing these habits early before more damage is done achieves better results. See Orthodontics for more information.
